Brexit News (Apester)

It was May something 2017, UK elections were all over the news, even here in Israel.

In a collaboration with Apester, We all set down brainstorming with one goal in front of us: How can we take complicated news and political subjects and make them easier to digest? especially for youth, who rarely follow current events. Some of them have the right to vote, most of them are easily distracted, All of them consume updates on their friends' life via Instagram stories.

Stories, at the time, was not yet on every single social media, but the essence of short and 'In-your-face' chunks of informative videos was clearly our choice, so I did some research on how things are done with major companies such as MTV, CNN, news companies and more.

Making complicated news and political events more accessible for the younger crowd

Both animation and design-wise, These Snapchat stories were mostly fast-paced, vivid colored, 'in-your-face' chunks of information. In a way dumbing down a bigger more complicated subject to a smaller bite, easier to chew. We've kept some ingredients while adjusting them to our needs. Presenting just the big headlines with consideration of the younger crowed short attention span.

RESULT:

This video among others was made with collaboration with Apester's designer Omri Milstein. We've made a few templates and produced a summary video every day.
